My granddaughter Nyalah (Beans) Johnson, who recently turned 5 this past November and instead of wanting gifts she asked "How do children with no home learn how to read and have birthday parties", I didn't have an answer. I explain that she had identified a need and asked her what did she want to do to resolve it"?
Out of her ideas came the " Learning Pot of Beans" which will provide books, learning games, clothes and hygiene items gifted in a bag ( Bean bags), while delivering a childhood experience through Bean Bashes(birthday parties)
The LPOB is dedicated to creating a normal childhood experience while promoting literacy among children ages 2-6 through monthly Bean Bashes at homeless shelters where “Bean Bags of Learning” will be given to the children as gifts.
Beans goal is to raise $1000 by March 31st in order to give out 75 bean bags at her first Bean Bash in April.
Beans is an Honor Roll student with all A's and is passionate about ensuring that her peers who are less fortunate get the same opportunities to learn and need your help to reach her goal.
All donation will be use to provide bean bags and hold Bean Bashes.
