Leanne's Story - My Sister In-Law

Leanne Borg, a wife, mother, grand-mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Our world turned upside down when we heard the words "The cancer has returned" This time it isn't in Leanne's breast, it's in the disc in her spine. Sadly Dr's are unable to operate, therefore Leanne is being treated with intensive Chemotherapy on a weekly basis, along with a trial medication from the USA. The treatment will continue indefinitely until Leanne's body can no longer take it. Leanne's battle started in 2012 when at the age of 48 Leanne was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Leanne has been in remission for 5 years until April 2017. This time is going to be a much tougher fight for Leanne . To give you a bit of background, Breast Cancer has not only affected Leanne it has also affected her mother Barb who sadly passed away in 2015 and younger sister Natalie who cruelly lost her battle in 2006 at the young age of 38. In 2010 Leanne and her mother were tested positive for the BRCA Gene 2. I would love to be able to help make Leanne's journey a little easier with some financial support and maybe even treat her to something special.
