Leanne Fundraising For Mission

This year, I made the exciting decision to apply to do Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM in Kona, Hawaii. I have since been accepted and will be leaving the first week of January 2022, and will remain on the DTS until mid June. While there, I will be a part of the Fire & Fragrance school, which will have between 200-400 other young people attend to do mission. There I will learn more about faith and my personal relationship with God, and how to invite others into His Kingdom.

I will receive my training in the base in Hawaii for 3 months, and then will go out on outreach to places in Asia or Africa. During the lecture phase, I will be learning more about how to hear God’s voice, my identity in Christ, cross-cultural ministry and how to study and communicate God’s word effectively. During the outreach phase, I will be working closely with women and children-at-risk, those caught in the trap of poverty, the homeless, those struggling with addiction, and those who have been sexually abused, trafficked or enslaved.

To be able to do this, I will need to raise between $8000-$9000, with the rest being funded myself. This money will cover part of my accommodation and living while in Hawaii and will be providing funding for my mission work. I am looking for donations from anyone who is able to give, either one up-front donation, or monthly donors from January to June (inclusive). If you were able to help me in any way, funding or prayers, I would greatly appreciate it. I realise I am early in asking for funding, but I need to have funding in place in order to confirm my attendance at the DTS.
