Leanna’s “I LIVED “ Legacy

Leanna Ramirez is...
-A senior at Hilliard Davidson High School
-A loving daughter (Janet & John), friend, & big sister to Julian
-A girls Lacrosse goalie
-A leader in her church youth group
-A fighter who is living with an incurable rare brain tumor.
*In March 15, 2017, Leanna was diagnosed with a Cellular Ependymoma at her brain stem in charge of the CNS. She has had not 1, but 2 craniotomies. Sadly, her third surgery was deemed inoperable due to its location at the brain stem.
Although Leanna was deemed in partial remission for 15 months, a scan in March (2019) showed that Leanna is now dealing with brain damage to the hippocampus due to radiation.
The radiologist said that sadly, in time, this will impair Leanna’s memory and her abilities. The prognosis for the next 5 years is 50/50, given the damage and risk of Leanna’s cancer cells growing or spread. Leanna has been advised to take full advantage or her health and abilities before they decline. The family follows through with a naturopath for multiple types of treatments to prevent growth and help Leanna’s immune system stay strong and balanced.

We are NOT giving up! Leanna deserves to enjoy the life she has. After all, it’s about quality, not quantity. So, we have decided to create something positive for Lee and other warriors to focus on during their difficult times, a legacy called Leanna's "I LIVED" Lists.
Leanna's "I LIVED" lists will celebrate a warrior's life and the things they wish to do, accomplish, and experience while battling their life-threatening illness, disease, or cancer. These lists will not only bring hope and positivity to the children and their families during an extremely difficult time, but also make the dreaded discussion surrounding mortality and their wishes, easier to facilitate.
