Lean On Me - Fundraiser for Clinton's Tavern Staff

As you may have already heard, our home for the last 5 years, Clinton's Tavern, shut its doors suddenly this past week. It should go without saying that the lovely staff that many of us know quite well, are all suddenly without work. They are also owed a ton of back pay they will most likely never see. We are stunned.

We wanted to do something to support our friends and family at Clinton's, so we'll be dedicating our weekly to them (Feb 25) and singing Bill Wither's "Lean On Me" - a classic tune that's all about being there for your friends in times of need. Since we have C!C!C! members and supporters all over the world (and lots of you have been asking how you can support from afar) we've set up this online portal so everyone who's loved Choir! and our home at Clinton's has the opportunity to contribute and show support to Clinton's staff.

All the proceeds from our Feb 25 event, as well as all the money raised through this fund, will go directly towards helping the staff of Clinton's recoup some of their lost earnings and hopefully help them in the coming weeks, as they'll definitely need the support. We put down $5000 as the goal (because you have to put something down) but any amount will be appreciated. 

Once the campaign is finished, the funds will be withdrawn by a rep from Clinton’s and distributed among the workers. They will be able to use them to help cover lost wages and, if possible, help while they look for new jobs

PS: Lindsay, Events Manager from Clintons has been added as the Beneficiary of this campaign. Like with the money we raised from our fundraiser at Lee's Palace, she and the General Manager Christina will divide the funds and distribute it to the staff. Thanks so much.
