Leah Monteiro [Leah Lune] is a 21 year old French-American singer songwriter. She has been performing since the age of 9, starting with the School of Rock in New York City, performing rock classics on stage in some of New York’s most legendary venues. After moving to Miami, Florida, at age 11, she continued vocal coaching and classical piano and performed rock music and jazz classics, including a Led Zeppelin tribute concert and pieces from Pink Floyd’s The Wall at the University of Miami’s Guzman Hall. Her band also opened for Joan Jett at a summer music festival. She attended a high school for the performing arts in Miami where she was lead singer in their Jazz ensemble and is currently enrolled in Miami Dade College’s music program.
CURRENT PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Leah is a prolific writer and composer and is currently collaborating with a renowned NY based producer, recipient of several international awards including 6 grammies, to produce her first EP. Even with several people involved in the project volunteering time and expertise, there are unavoidable expenses to bring some of her original songs to fruition, including travel and accommodation, styling, hair and makeup for the acoustic videos, paying professional studio musicians, studio time and studio technicians. All funds raised will go towards these costs.
PROJECT SCHEDULE
(Funds Needed by August 5th, 2018)
August 5th: Arrival in NYC
August 6th: One day working with the producer to tighten song lyrics and structure and set up a template session in the studio.
August 7th: Record live band tracks in studio.
August 8th & 9th: Track two piano/vocal songs and film in-studio acoustic music videos of two songs.
August 10th: Post production and rough mix.
She will also meet with a professional songwriter during this session in New York to start the process of completing the writing of three of her other songs.
The rest of the month of August, Leah and the producer will continue to add layers of sound to the songs from their respective locations in NY and Miami. Early September, they will wrap production and final mix for her first song and mix sound for the two edited acoustic videos and master sound for all three songs.
PROJECT RESULTS
The final result of this project will be audio for one of her songs and audio plus music video for two other songs with a grammy award-winning producer. She will also complete writing 3 of her other songs with a professional NYC based songwriter so they will be ready for her next studio session later in the year.
This project will allow Leah to take the next step in her career, getting her original work out there and lead to further collaborations, tours, contests etc.
Leah will be extremely grateful for any and all donations, even the smallest amounts will help. Everyone who participates will receive the finished songs and will be invited to any future concerts free of charge!
Once her EP is produced, website, photography, video and social media and marketing for Leah will be managed byMIA Creative Agency .

Leah est une auteure et compositrice prolifique et collabore actuellement avec un producteur renommé de New York, récipient de plusieurs prix internationaux dont 6 grammies, pour produire son premier EP. Même avec plusieurs personnes impliquées bénévolat dans le projet, des dépenses sont inévitables pour concrétiser certaines de ses chansons originales: dont voyage et hébergement, stylisme, coiffure et maquillage pour les vidéos acoustiques, musiciens de studio professionnels payants, temps de studio et techniciens de studio. Tous les fonds recueillis iront à ces coûts.
Calendrier du Projet
5 août: Arrivée à New York
6 août: Une journée de travail avec le producteur pour resserrer les paroles et la structure des chansons et mettre en place une session de modèle dans le studio.
7 août: Enregistrement de pistes de groupe en studio.
8 et 9 août: Suivez deux chansons de piano / chant et filmez des vidéos de musique acoustique en studio de deux chansons.
10 août: Post-production et mélange brut.
Elle rencontrera également un auteur-compositeur professionnel au cours de cette session à New York pour commencer le processus d'achèvement de l'écriture de trois de ses autres chansons.
Le reste du mois d'août, Leah et le producteur continueront à ajouter des couches de son aux chansons de leurs emplacements respectifs à New York et à Miami. Au début du mois de septembre, ils vont emballer la production et le mix final pour sa première chanson et mixer le son pour les deux vidéos acoustiques montées et le son master pour les trois chansons.
Résultat Final du Projet
Le résultat final de ce projet sera audio pour l'une de ses chansons et audio et vidéo musicale pour deux autres chansons avec un producteur primé grammy. Elle complétera également l'écriture de 3 de ses autres chansons avec un auteur-compositeur professionnel basé à NYC afin qu'ils soient prêts pour sa prochaine session en studio plus tard dans l'année.
