Goals/Vision for the project:
Leadership Seminole Class #24 proposes a comprehensive renovation of the Westside Community Center, which will directly benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Sanford.
Our plan identifies several potential infrastructure and equipment upgrades that would improve the quality of programs and services available to families served by the Boys and Girls Club.
Currently, dozens of children in the Sanford community are on a wait list to access services at the Boys and Girls Club. Facility and equipment enhancements may allow the organization to expand program capacity, thus reducing the wait list and serving more students and families in the Sanford community.
Furthermore, there are multiple opportunities to improve space efficiency, repair or replace outdated equipment, and implement aesthetic improvements that will give the children of Westside Community Center an even higher-quality educational and social experience.
In addition to these facility enhancements, there are
numerous opportunities for Leadership Seminole participants to volunteer their time to improve programming quality at the Boys and Girls Club of Sanford.
