</div>

<div>Hi all!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We decided to do a "Summer Holiday Testing Edit" - sending products to the lab for testing that many people might consume during the summer holidays - specifically thinking along the lines of barbecues with hot dogs and hamburgers.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>It would be absolutely wonderful if — through this initiative — we are able to find more products to add to our list of safer choices (safer from a heavy metals concern perspective at least!)

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We have set this GoFundMe campaign up today to raise funds to cover the cost of testing and reporting for the specific product pictured here (see campaign image).

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We will be adding more narrative details about this initiative (including links to the published lab reports once the testing has been completed and the lab report has been published) over the coming days and weeks (via updates to this campaign).

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Once the campaign funds (once we reach our goal to cover the cost of testing and reporting for this product) we will close this campaign (we will turn off the donations for the campaign) and then it typically takes 2 to 4 weeks (and sometimes, rarely - a bit longer) for us to get the results back from the lab and publish the results on the Lead Safe Mama website: <a href="http://www.LeadSafeMama.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="http://www.LeadSafeMama.com" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://www.LeadSafeMama.com</a></a>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>All of the articles with the lab reports for products we have tested are pinned here when they are initially published (on our website menu):

</div>

<div><a href="https://tamararubin.com/website-menu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://tamararubin.com/website-menu/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://tamararubin.com/website-menu/</a></a>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The lab reports can also be found here - this is the landing page with ALL of our lab reports linked. It is a good page to bookmark and check back on periodically, as it is updated almost daily - and currently has about 400 linked lab reports for products we have tested with this initiative:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As of the time of publishing this campaign - the Lead Safe Mama, LLC community collaborative laboratory testing initiative has identified 72 lab tested safer choices: <a href="https://tamararubin.com/2025/04/73/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://tamararubin.com/2025/04/73/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://tamararubin.com/2025/04/73/</a></a>

<div>If you are interested in learning more about the community-collaborative / community-funded laboratory food testing (testing food, supplements, and cosmetics for the following toxicants: Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, &amp; Arsenic) we are doing (through Lead Safe Mama, LLC - a unique, community collaborative, woman-owned, small business based in Portland, Oregon - a small business with a focus on childhood Lead poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety) - please check out some of our other GoFundMe campaigns - here's the link with all of our open campaigns: <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/s?q=lead+safe+mama&amp;location-description=Portland%2C+OR&amp;location-lat=45.520247&amp;location-lng=-122.674195&amp;c=342" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://www.gofundme.com/s?q=lead+safe+mama&amp;location-description=Portland%2C+OR&amp;location-lat=45.520247&amp;location-lng=-122.674195&amp;c=342" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.gofundme.com/s?q=lead+safe+mama&amp;location-description=Portland%2C+OR&amp;location-lat=45.520247&amp;location-lng=-122.674195&amp;c=342</a></a>

<div>Here's a link to one of many articles about our work from Consumer Reports Magazine - this is an article that discusses some collaborative follow up we worked on with CR in response to some of the early food testing done by Lead Safe Mama, LLC - this was published in May of 2025 (earlier this month!): <a href="https://www.consumerreports.org/health/food-contaminants/cassava-flour-chips-bread-more-contain-high-levels-of-lead-a7817220954/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://www.consumerreports.org/health/food-contaminants/cassava-flour-chips-bread-more-contain-high-levels-of-lead-a7817220954/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.consumerreports.org/health/food-contaminants/cassava-flour-chips-bread-more-contain-high-levels-of-lead-a7817220954/</a></a>

<div>In April of 2025 - The Guardian covered our work testing toothpaste products through this community collaborative initiative:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The toothpaste story ended up being covered by news outlets all over the world - you can find many of them here: <a href="https://tamararubin.com/press/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://tamararubin.com/press/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://tamararubin.com/press/</a></a>
