PTSD Medical Fund

My brother, Sergeant First Class Jeromy Beebe, has been enlisted in the U.S Army for almost 14 years. He has served 3 tours in Iraq. His first tour was in 2003 and he finished his last tour in late 2007. Jeromy has a wife, Kayla, and 2 kids, Craig (6) and Rex (2). In 2005 he was diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). This battle lead to a severe anxiety and depression diagnoses in 2009 and then in 2012 he was diagnosed with a Bipolar Disorder. With all of his medical diagnoses and recent changes in the Army he is offically getting medically discharged. His wife and 2 kids moved to Texas in March (2014) in hopes that his orders would come through in a timely manner. However, there have been many obstacles along the way. Jeromy has continued to struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder which has lead to an alcohol addiction and an attempt at suicide on January 31st. Today, February 3rd, I am driving him and his service dog to Madison, Tennessee where he will receive intensive PTSD treatment at a military facility. I am reaching out because I have decided to take on the responsibility to be his caregiver until he has recovered. This program will last anywhere from 1 month to 3 months depending on his advancements. Not only have I taken the responsibility to be his caregiver but I have also taken the responsibility financially to get him where he needs to be. Over the next 3 months I will be traveling in 3 different occasions. The first occasion is to drive him to Madison, TN and fly back to Omaha, NE. The second occasion is to fly back to Madison, TN when he is released from treatment and then drive him back to Nebraska.  The 3rd occasion will come after treatment. We will move the rest of his belongings to Texas where he can begin to start his new life post Army as soon as the paper work is completed. (This could take 3-6 months) As many of you know, I am currently attending Nebraska Christian College pursuing ministry. There is only so much I can do financially as a college student. I have set aside my pride and have humbled myself in hopes that you will assist with this PTSD medical fund. To cover all the expenses over the next 3 months I will need around $2000. I have set a side a little of my own money but I am still need extra funds to help cover the costs. PTDS is real. We hear about it, we see it on the news, and most of us have seen it in the recent movie American Sniper with Navy Seal Chris Kyle. The last 3 days I’ve spent by my brother’s side has opened my mind up even more to this condition. If you are unable to provide financially, please keep him in prayer, as the next 3 months to come will be a rough journey in his personal life and in his family’s life as well.

Jeromy has made it his mission to donate any remaining funds that are not used to TADSAW (Train A Dog Save A Warrior) This is the foundation the he went through to get his service dog and received all his training for FREE.... go to www.tadsaw.org to read more about them. He also hopes to become a dog trainer and work for them after moving to Texas as soon as he is medically retired.
