L’Dante’s St. Thomas Relief Funds

My name is L'Dante Brown, and I am proud to be from the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Unfortunately, St. Thomas experienced unimaginable destruction from Hurricane Irma, which has directly impacted many citizens residing on the island.
As an employee of Points of Light, we are built on the foundation of neighbors helping neighbors through life’s unexpected circumstances. I now need the support of my neighbors to uplift my island through this time.
Initially, the funds donated will be utilized to address immediate needs including water, food, and rebuilding necessities specifically purchasing supplies in the United States that are unavailable in the Virgin Islands right now. As rebuilding continues, we will keep everyone informed on how their donations will be specifically allocated.
What we do know is that it will be a long process and a lot of rebuilding requiring financial and emotional support over the next few months and potentially years. Thank you in advance for being a point of light and showing my island and me the importance of community.
