This is a snap shot of my story.
29 years old and looking down the barrel at a hysterectomy very soon as the public health system can't help me any longer.
I desperately want to be a mum. I feel this is what I was put on earth to be. Please help me have one last shot at becoming a mum. I don't currently meet adoption criteria because I'm actively trying to have a baby of my own. Private Health companies won't cover me for a pre-existing condition until I wait out the 12 month waiting period.
I suffer from extreme Menorrhagia and have been diagnosed with Endometriosis, Adenomyosis and PCOS.
All my problems started at the age of 18, starting with a period lasting 3mths straight, it was so heavy I couldn't lay down. Since this started my weight has been effected by gaining 30kgs + due to medications and being house or hospital bound for 6 to 9mths of the year.
In late 2010 I was put on clomid to assist with ovulation. I, first responded to the medication in December 2010 and unfortunately didn't fall pregnant, which resulted in the first blood transfusion in February 2011. This was the first of a many of transfusions to follow. Doctors have managed to give my body a break by using Zoladex injections to trick my body into menopause (this has happened from July to December for the past 3 years)
I'm raising funds to see private doctors because I'm in the too hard basket for the public system and may have to look at surrogacy
