Lambda Chi Supports Feeding America

Tax deductible
The Epsilon-Iota colony (University of Nevada, Reno) of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity is beginning a new tradition...Watermelon Bust! Watermelon Bust is our philanthropy event in which students donate canned-food items to play watermelon-themed games.

In addition to collecting canned-foods for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, we are also raising money to help support Feeding America.

Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity created a formal partnership with Feeding America in the summer of 2013. The mission of Feeding America is to fight to end hunger and our mission is to instill values in young men. This mission alignment has allowed us to implement this partnership successfully. Our members are encouraged to host philanthropy events, volunteer at their local food bank and advocate for this cause. Since our partnership has begun we have provided over 15 million meals hungry families through Feeding America. This has become a wonderful opportunity for our men to live our values and make a lasting impact within their community.

Thank you for helping us support this great organization and give back to our local community!
