Long Beach NASA Student Launch Team

We’re a fairly new team comprised of a small group of ambitious students who share multiple different backgrounds; these backgrounds range from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering to Computer Science and more! Having only been in the competition for 3 consecutive years, the team aims to succeed in this year's competition with the help of our current 15+ members! Long Beach Rocketry welcomes everyone in all fields to share the ongoing venture of building a solid foundation for future Aerospace Industry experiences.

Our main goal throughout this competition is to give students an opportunity to work in a team-based operation where the design, production, and execution of a fully functional rocket will be composed entirely by students! For NASA Student Launch, our ultimate goal is for our launch vehicle to reach exactly one mile into the air. Along with this main goal, our current mission is to integrate a deployable rover with operational solar panels; the rover is to deploy once the launch vehicle safely through our dual deployment recovery system.
