Debbie Meye House Fire

Febuary 2, 2015 at 10:30 am Debbie Meye lost her home - her memories - her pets.  She was in her home with her grand daughter this morning and noticed a smoke in the basement.  At this point she went to check it out...a box had started on fire.  Her firefighter training kicked in and she tried to diffuse the fire.  She ran back upstairs to get her grand daughter out to saftey and by that time the whole house was filled with smoke.  Both Debbie and her grand daughter made it out but inside there were two dogs and two cats that did not.  She lost EVERYTHING she owned in the house.  The house was so badly burned that we are unable to go in to collect any momentos.

We are very greatful for all the help, but we know it will be a long road ahead to get life back to normal.  As of writing this we really are still in shock and can not fully analyze the situation.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer to get her back onto her feet.

We also want to send our prayers to a fellow fire fighter who was injured fighting this fire.  Josh Timmers was flown to a burn unit in MN and is being treated for 3rd degree burns.

Prayers to all involved.
