Hi, my name is Edwin, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help laying my son to rest with the dignity and love he deserves.
My son was a disabled veteran who served his country with courage and honor. After surviving an explosion in combat, he made the statement,
“I went from a hospital bed to a wheelchair, to standing on my own two feet. Now I want to show people that there is always hope.”
He fought every single day, not just to heal from the physical scars, but from the invisible ones too: PTSD and the deep weight of mental illness.
He recently lost that battle.
His greatest strength was always his children. They were his reason to keep pushing forward—to prove to them that no matter how broken life may seem, there’s always hope. And he did show them that. Through every setback, he reminded us of what perseverance looked like.
Now, I’m trying to raise $8,600 to cover his funeral expenses and give him the farewell he so deeply deserves. It’s not easy to ask, but every donation—no matter how small—will help us honor his life and his legacy.
If you can’t give, please consider sharing this page. It means the world to our family, and especially to his children, who will always carry his memory and his strength with them.
Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for standing with us.
With gratitude,
One love,
