As some of you may know and to those who don’t, our hearts are broken as we share the news that 55year old Laurie Zappulla Serrano passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 29th. She was not feeling well, decided to lay down in bed and never woke up. Her cause of death was of natural causes and totally shocking to her family and friends. We are devestated.
Laurie was born on April 4th 1962 in Brooklyn, NY and was just the most beautiful outgoing girl. A loving daughter to her parents and two brothers Louis and Danny. Such a good pure soul with a long life ahead of her. And an amazing wife to her beloved Pete who she left behind yesterday. She unfortunately was never able to have her own biological children, but was a great role model and a second mother to her nieces and nephews. She really did hold such a special place in our hearts. She was looking forward to being an amazing great-aunt and just enjoying her life surrounded by family and friends.
She loved music, a concert going Micheal Jackson fanatic ! Queen, and Aerosmith were also some of her favorites. She was an incredible contagious personality and made friends everywhere she went.
Funeral arrangements for Laurie are pending, but will be held in Brooklyn, NY in the coming days.
All funds raised will go directly to help Laurie’s family with funeral expenses and any other related expenses as we deal with this tragic loss. All amounts are welcome and appreciated.
