My younger brother Laurentiu underwent gall bladder surgery a couple of weeks ago in Canada where he currently lives . The doctor said everything went well. So my brother and his wife and baby came to port saint lucie to visit my parents for christmas. He started feeling really sick and his skin and eyes started turning yellow his pee turned brown so we ended up bringing him to the hospital on December 24th and he's been there ever since he's had complications after complications .They found a stone blocking his bile duct and the spot where his gall bladder was removed from in the origional surgery was full of bile and had a big cyst in it. Because the doctor in Canada that removed his gall bladder did not check the ducts for stones now he is stuck in the hospital here with complications. Regardless I am making this Go fund me because in Canada there is free health insurance and they also have travel insurance but there is a clause in that insurance that states if he has to use the insurance for anything that has to do with something that has happened within the last 90 days they are not covered. He can't apply for health insurance here because he doesn't live here. Regardless the hospital is asking for a $5000.00 down payment to continue further treatment.,( My brother can't keep anything down he is on a liquid only diet but he is throwing up everything) they have stopped the saline solution and most of his medication because of the issues with the insurance. He can't fly home to Canada because he has a hole in the side of his stomach with a bag that collects his bile since they still have not been able to figure out where the bile is leaking from..
I'm asking for any donations in regards to this just to continue his treatment. It sucks that I don't have the funds to do this by myself but I'm hoping if we can all come together in this we can come up with something to help him out. Thank you in advance.
