Lauren's Recovery Fund After Fire

Donation protected
We have created this fund to help our sister, Lauren Wallace, who lives in Montpelier, Vermont who is suffering from a total loss. On the morning of January 2, 2018, the 8-unit apartment building where she lives caught fire when a maintenance worker was thawing frozen pipes in the building’s basement due to sub-zero temperatures. She was at work when she received the phone call from her neighbor. With no car and snow up to her ankles, one of her co-workers gave her a ride and they quickly rushed over. By the time they arrived, all of her possessions as well as her beloved pet bird of 8 years, were lost in the fire. For any of you who know Lauren, Buster was so much more than a pet, he was her best friend. We are so thankful for her friends who are with her, providing food and a warm, safe place for her to stay while she figures things out. The fire department has declared her apartment as a total loss, which means she will have to start over. She needs all the love, prayers, and support she can get during this difficult time as she recovers from the many losses she has endured and rebuilds emotionally, financially, and spiritually. Donations will be put towards replacing her belongings such as her bed, clothes, books, and other necessities. She will need these funds as soon as possible so she can begin moving forward. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and we thank you for your generosity! We will continue to update Lauren’s situation as more information becomes available.
