My name is Christopher Blake, and I have created this page for my wife Vanessa   My wife and I have been together for 9 wonderful years and have a beautiful 8 year old daughter, Gracelynn. Vanessa has been struggling with weakened limbs and muscle fatigue for the last 9 months.  Recently, she has been diagnosed with ALS.  This has been a devastating blow to her and our family.   We have several specialists that she is working with to make her living situation as comfortable as possible, and to allow her to be the best mom that she can. She has lost the use of her right hand, her speech has slowed dramatically, and is currently using a cane to walk due to her lower limbs starting to be effected. In the coming months and years she is going to be in need of specialized equipment to be able to get around, such as a mobile wheelchair, and as the disease progresses she will loose the ability to speak requiring a speech assistant machine. These funds that are graciously donated will be used for purchasing living aids for Lauren, and for some wishes she has for our 8 year old daughter to experience before Lauren is unable to do with Gracelynn. My wife has been forced to stop working at her doctors office due to this disease which has not only removed her income to our family, but has taken her joy for helping people, especially the children with autism she had built wonderful relationships with. We are working on getting Vanessa help through Medicaid, state, and federal programs, but there are situations coming that these programs will not cover.  It is hard to express anything through text, but I deeply appreciate any help that you can provide for my wife.  It is difficult to ask for help as it make the situation even more real.  Please know that you are not only helping my wife, but my daughter as well.  She has been so strong and brave during this trying time.  All she wants is her mother, and this fund will help do just that.  Again I deeply that you for any help.  Please help spread the word by sharing this page on the social media platforms.
