Lauren's Peru Fundraiser

Hi Everyone,
As you might be aware at the end of May I'll be heading to South America. As part of my trip I'll be volunteering at an orphange in Peru. The aim of the volunteer program that I am organising this event for is to provide childcare for orphaned and other young children between the ages of 0– 5 years old. These children live in Cusco, Peru. The children I will be working with do not usually receive the level of care or education they deserve. The aim of this volunteer program is to not only spend time with the children but also to educate. These children are not provided with the same basic level of knowledge that children in Australia receive – teaching them simple things like general hygiene can lead to prolonging and improving their quality of life.
The money that I am raising will go towards books, stationery, clothing, educational supplies, toys and games. The money will be spent in Cusco, Peru to put money back into their community.
