Lauren's Suprise *Do not tell her!"

Donation protected
As many of you know my little sister was diagnosed with lymphoma. It was at this moment that I knew that I could not control her health, but I can help her happiness and mentality through this tough time. I wanted to do something that would make her the happiest she has ever been. She will be shaving her head on September 28th. So I am going to hop on a plane from Indianapolis to Minneapolis and surprise her! The guys on my dorm floor and friends came up with the idea to start raising money to get her a really nice gift (We have found out what we want to get her but we are leaving it out of the GoFundMe page just in the slight chance that Lauren sees the page and I do not want the entire surprise to be ruined). Not only that but a couple of the guys on my floor (including me) will be shaving our heads together. I am hoping to lift her spirits because I have been away during this tough time considering I left only a week before she was diagnosed. She deserves a surprise like this, because for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting her, she is the star of the show. She has an unique ability to turn a bad day into to a good one. Most siblings tend to fight or not get along. This is where my sister is an exception, I can count on my sister anytime just to talk about random stuff going on in each other's lives, or crying laughing until 2 am on school nights because we are watching funny YouTube videos and having our parents come in and tell us just to shut up (but we never did). I can say that my sister is different in the sense that I want her to hang out with my friends. She isn't just my sister, she is my closest friend. If there is one thing a friend should do when their friend is down is cheer them up. I am hoping this will cheer her up immensely. Lauren has always been there for me and now it is time I returned the favor. Anything will help and I am thankful for anyone who pitches in or shaves their head. When I found out she had cancer, it destroyed me because it felt as if I could do nothing due to the fact that I was now in Indiana. I need to make her happy. I need to help my best friend. Please anything will help.

I will also put incentives into this. At $1K My father will shave his head with me (only guy who can rock it better than me). At $2K I will shave my eyebrows off. At $3k I will donate $1000 to Saint Judes Children Hospital. At $4K I will let every single guy on my dorm floor will get to take a swipe at waxing my chest. At $5K I will get a tattoo of my sister’s cancer ribbon.

For anyone interested I'll be posting out the date to shave our heads at a later notice. Will be taking donations until September 27th. If you have any ideas or want to contact me, send me an email  at [email redacted]. ALSO AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT TELL HER!!!

Thank You, Ryan Smith
P.S. I put some fun old photos in the updates tab that my sister would be embarrassed about, you're welcome.
