Hi!
My name is Lauren, I am a Mum of 2, a wife, public servant and health and wellness consultant from Sydney, Australia.
Much like everyone I have watched from the sidelines the devastation that the current bushfires have caused in NSW and beyond. Whilst I've not been directly affected or threatened by the fires, I have watched events unfold to keep up to date with what is happening and am in awe of the very people who have minimised the impact, saved as many homes, people and wildlife as possible.
Have you asked yourself how you might be able to help our NSW frontline emergency services that are fighting fires in less than ideal conditions, working tirelessly to protect our communities and keep us all safe?
I am raising money to enable us as a community to give back in a practical way to the emergency services on the frontline fighting fires that are currently threatening people, wildlife, homes and whole communities in NSW.
Our emergency services are always there when we need them and in particular the last couple of months they have shown up relentlessly and selflessly giving their all in horrendous conditions to keep us all safe.
They have been showing up every single day and night, doing all they can to minimise the devastation that these horrendous bushfires will have. At time of writing in NSW alone there was 1750 firefighters in the field working to contain 20 of the 50 + fires that are yet to be contained (as per NSW RFS updates).
These Men and Women are incredible people that deserve to be taken care of whilst doing one of the toughest jobs imaginable for such long periods of time. They are our Mums, Dads, brothers, sisters, grandparents and friends that are out there. Lets take care of them together!
All funds raised will be used to provide The NSW Rural Fire Service and other frontline emergency services with supplies in the form of boxes of Arbonne Hydration, Fizz sticks (naturally derived caffeine/healthy energy drink), protein sachets, lip balms etc. The idea is that they can simply add these to water to stay well hydrated and energised to face the conditions in front of them, bearing in mind the fire season is only just getting started here in NSW/Australia.
If you are able to, would like to or feel compelled to make a small difference and be a part of putting a smile on our emergency services faces each day, we would very much appreciate and be grateful for any donation small or large to go toward such a worthwhile cause. They give so much, this is a practical way in which we can express our thanks and gratitude for their sacrifice and time.
I will keep you updated on progress and where our donations will be headed as we progress. Dependant on the locations and fire activity we can more than likely share the love with other locations and services.
The first delivery will go to the RFS base in Wisemans Ferry who are working to contain the Gospers Mountain Fire in NSW and will be delivered next week.
