Lauren & Sam’s kidney journey

I’m starting this fundraiser for my good friend’s Lauren and Sam. Lauren is going to be donating a kidney to Sam and they have a long journey ahead of them. They will be traveling to San Antonio to have their surgeries and will also have to stay there for a month after. The money will be split equally between them to help cover medical, housing, and other necessities while in San Antonio.

Sam has known for the last five years that she has problems with her kidneys and would eventually need a kidney transplant. Lauren being the great friend that she is decided to go get tested to see if she was a match for Sam back in March. Thankfully Lauren is a match and decided to donate her kidney to Sam.

Lauren and Sam have a beautiful friendship that I have been able to watch pretty much from the beginning. These two are inseparable. They aren’t only co workers they are best friends also. They are both very shy in the beginning of knowing them and then as you get to know them you realize they both have big kind hearts. Lauren is one of the most selfless people I’ve ever met, she loves whole heartedly and it’s only one of her best characteristics. Sam is such a genuinely good person she’s so sweet to everyone and just an all around great person. I’m lucky to be able to call Lauren and Sam my friends.
