Lauren DeHorta's Medical Fund

On Monday July 27th, Lauren had a brain aneurysm which ruptured and led to her being airlifted and had to undergo 2 intensive emergency surgeries to save her life.  She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Barrow Neurological Institute where she will be for an undetermined number of weeks.  This all happened 3-days prior to a scheduled surgery for her mother who was also found to have 2 unruptured aneurysms that required brain surgery.  Unfortunately, this devastating injury happened while Lauren did not have any medical insurance.

 

For all of you who have had the honor of calling Lauren a friend, you know just how incredible of a person she is.  Lauren is a mother, a sister, a daughter and an incredible friend to so many.  Now more than ever, Lauren needs us to come together and fight alongside her.  Lauren is defying all odds but she and her family have a very long road ahead to recovery and rehabilitation to get her to a full recovery.  She’s a true warrior and is proving time and time again her strength.

 

The number of well-wishes, texts and calls from everyone asking what they can do to help has been heartwarming.  What we are asking of you is your help  on this long road to recovery by donating what you can and sharing this with as many people as you can.  There will be many financial obstacles that lie ahead for Lauren and her family and we are doing this to help get her back home where she needs to be and relieve some of the incredible financial burden that something like this brings.
