Laura's "pennies from heaven" fund

Dear Friends,
My heart is very sad for Laura Majore and her family at this time. My heart will be very happy, and Laura's heart will swell to bursting, with love & joy, if we can all join together to ease a serious financial burden her family faces due to a recent accident.
On Father's Day, Laura and fiance Doug, were involved in a motorcycle accident which has resulted in multiple medical bills including hospital treatment, wound care clinic visits, and surgeries. Both Laura and Doug are out of work without short term disability benefits. Laura needed surgery to repair tendons in her right hand and will not be able to return to her position as a hair-dresser for at least 3 months.
If that wasn't bad enough, Doug's son Ben was involved in a motorcycle accident a few weeks after their's and sustained injuries requiring hospital admission and surgeries in Boston.
So, the 3 wage earners in the household of 5 people are unable to work and the bills are growing rapidly.
I chose a goal of $6K randomly, hoping it would at least cover the rent and groceries for the next 3 months. Funds in excess of the goal will truly be "pennies from heaven" to help support our dear friend Laura during this time of need.
