Laura's Hurricane Relief Fund

Due to the severity of Hurricane Harvey, one of JM’s own has endured severe damage to her home.  Laura Elizalde, a Customer Advocate based out of Houston supporting the IIG business, had 4” of water enter her home on Sunday, August 27th.  As a result, her house is still uninhabitable.  Since the storm, Laura and her family were forced to split-up, staying with different relatives in the Houston area.  Laura did not have flood insurance, but the good news is that FEMA has her claim and she has been able to remove the damaged drywall, tile and carpets.  Unfortunately, the family has to wait for a FEMA inspector to do a walkthrough of her home which will take a considerable amount of time due to the backlog of claims. 

Despite her personal situation, Laura continued to support JM and her customers throughout the Hurricane.  She exemplified the JM experience.
