My beautiful sister in law received the most devastating news of her entire 32 years of life. On January 22nd, 2018 she received an official diagnosis of Stage 3 rectal cancer. I have known this beautiful soul for over 15 years, and I couldn't have picked a better wife for my brother. I am truly blessed to be able to call her my sister. Laura and my brother Rob have been married for over 8.5 years and Laura is a stay at home mom for 3 young beautiful children (Ages 5, 2.5 and 5 mos.) and they need all of the help and support they can get. (pictured below)
A preparation surgery has been scheduled right away followed by 5 and a half weeks of intensive chemotherapy and radiation. Once her body has recovered from the chemo and radiation she will go through an inpatient reconstructive surgery to remove the tumor. She will spend at least a week in the hospital to recover from surgery and make sure her body can handle everything correctly. After surgery she will go through another intensive treatment of chemotherapy for 3-4 months.
During her time with the intensive chemo and radiation treatments she will need to drive up to Pittsburgh, PA to Allegheny General Hospital from Chippewa, PA every day. During these times she will need all of the help she can get. Whether it's gas money to get there, money for parking, helping to pay some of the medical bills, food for herself and the 3 beautiful children.
We understand that everyone goes through financial hardships and can only donate a $1 or not at all. We just ask that that if you cannot donate any monetary help that if you could help pray for a successful recovery and share this post as much as possible.
