My sweet Laura was badly attacked by two dogs on 11/23 and had emergency care in Tulsa. The cost was $741 which is still unpaid. One week later her wounds went from bad to awful over a matter of hours when her neck split open after she was shaking her head...The dr said the tissue was so badly damaged due to the bites that it was a matter of wgen not if it would turn necrotic. :(
We took her to the emergency clinic and they were unable to help her without payment. We found another clinic that will treat her over the course of 6 weeks for $550 and the first treatment was provided and paid for, however when we arrived back home at 8pm the night before Thanksgiving after spending the day having her fixed up, the bandages and stitches they had in place and that were supposed to make it 5 days until next follow up, had come off entirely. We had to turn around and drive 30 miles back into Tulsa with the dog and the baby in order to go to the emergency clinic again because at this point the other clinic had already closed for the holiday. At the time Im typing this, Im here in the patient room with Laura, my daughter and my infant and its 1am. Shes crying and its breaking my heart that I cant help her.
700 for first visit after the attack
550 for 6 week care plan
440 for Thanksgiving hospitalization and treatment
new quote will be updated by monday, and possibly higher but Im going to do my best to find a better qualified clinic for her level of needs and also try to keep it as low cost as I can.
the care plan that was quoted 550 is being readdressed due to their unacceptable treatment of Laura. she spent Thanksgiving hospitalized because they did such an awful job. for now we will be having her wound care done daily with the Oklahoma Veterinary specialists and donations for that can be made at their website
okvets.com then click "Make payments" and enter your name address and email for security reasons, the patient id number which is "64226" and the amount you are contributing.
Happy Thanksgiving.
