Laura’s Story:

 

Laura was my wife, but more importantly my best friend.

 

On the 6th of March Laura passed, it was our 17th wedding anniversary. Laura was only ill for a very short time and in result passed unexpectedly due to a complication related to her liver, she suffered a seizer, and this led to a cardiac arrest she was 36 years old.

 

Laura was full of life; she was a sister a daughter and granddaughter. She was a hard worker and dedicated to her baby Vapors Mansfield and her family. Laura would do anything for her friends, and nothing was to much trouble, everyone who shopped with our store were always friends over customers and she cared for all.

 

Cooking was a massive passion of Laura’s, as was reading, tabletop gaming she was a complete geek, our pug daisy and our 5 cats. Laura loved to move house, to be honest on how often we moved it became a hobby, but we finally settled back in Meden Vale, the home of her family and many friends.

 

Laura came to work for Vapors when my mental health started to degrade, shortly after I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder which unfortunately required support and care. Laura knew how to read my condition, and always would know the best course of action. Laura also struggled with her mental health, she was incredibly strong willed I think I and only a few others saw what she had to go through. This is why we the chosen to raise money for a Mental Health Charity "Mind"https://www.mind.org.uk/ .
