Laura Mathis Medical Fund

My nephew and his wife, Tyler and Laura Mathis just had their baby, Ava Mathis just seven weeks ago. Ava is beautiful and healthy. Her sweet mom, Laura has had some severe complications since having Ava. Laura has had six different surgeries since giving birth to Ava. She continues to have blood clots and has spent a total of four weeks in ICU at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. Laura has been diagnosed with a blood disorder that thickens the blood thus causing severe blood clots. The condition is May Thurner Syndrome and she has Deep Vein Thrombosis. She has had multiple stints put in and now has been placed on some injections twice a day which are very expensive. The doctors think she may have to have them up to six months if this actually works. Both Tyler and Laura have jobs and have always worked very hard. Tyler has an HVAC certification and works in maintenance and in home construction while Laura works for a trailer company in Memphis. Tyler hasn’t been able to work much during her illness and they currently have a very limited income plus a new baby. My sister and brother in law, Becky and Kent Mathis as well as Laura’s family have been helping take care of little Ava. They have also helped financially. My family needs prayers more than anything. We believe in God’s ability to heal Laura and keep her home with baby Ava. They also could use some relief from the financial stress of figuring out how to pay for medical bills and the expensive medicine she will need during the next few months. They are both in their 20s with a seven week old daughter and Laura is experiencing life threatening conditions. I’ve never set up a GoFundMe Account before but I believe God has led me to do this for them. If I had the financial means I would take care of them but unfortunately I don’t have enough. Please consider contributing to their cause and more than anything pray for healing. Any amount will help their family. They have not had Christmas yet because of her illness.
