Laura M. Cox was in a major automobile wreck Friday, October 6, 2017. A large pick up truck and her small 1995 Honda car was in a side impact accident. She does not have any health insurance and was admitted into the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN and is in ICU. We do not know when she will be released. She is the main financial provider for her family. She is the mother of two teenage children (Andrew and Violet) She does not need to be worried about financial matters during this time as she begins the long battle to recovery.
The car she was driving was not equipment with airbags and the side impact has broken a total of 10 ribs (on both sides) and her sternum, fractured 2 vertebra, fractured the base of her skull, ruptured her spleen, broke her left arm and fractured her right collarbone, and caused several cuts and bruises. She is in severe pain and having difficulty breathing, but thankfully has not had to have a breathing tube put in yet.
We appreciate anything you can donate on her behalf. She is the most humble, kind, and loving person. She would never ask for help herself, but she truly needs all the love and support we can give her. We appreciate anything you can help her with.
