My very best friend Laura is 43 years old and was diagnosed with breast cancer this past month. For those of you who know her, you know that she is an extraordinary human being!! She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts her friends and family before herself. Always.
She undergoes surgery September 4th to remove the cancer, which will be successful. Because we are not sure if this has spread to other areas of her body until after the surgery, chemo is not yet known. What we know is she will have to go through several months of radiation and hormonal therapy.
Because of this, she has been unable to work and will likely not be able to return until the Spring. Unemployment / disability unfortunately does not provide full pay. None of her medical expenses are covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money is getting tighter and tighter - the bills just to determine if it’s breast cancer already total $5k!
Laura is one of the strongest, most selfless people I have ever known and is always there to give her love and support or the shirt off her back to anyone that needs it ❤️.
When you think of people who get cancer she would never come to mind, she fuels her body with healthy food everyday and is more fit than anyone else I know. I admire her commitment to health and wellness and her unwavering support of anyone who wants to learn to lead a healthy fulfilled life like she does.
Now, it's time that we send back some of that love and support to Laura. Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated.
