To raise sponsorship and earn your support, Laura will be undertaking a 6mile run from her home near Portslade Station, uphill to Devil's Dyke on 16th August 2025.

Laura is hoping to raise money towards an expedition to eSwatini, South Africa in July 2026. She will be part of a team of Hove Park school children from Year 10, spending 2 weeks there camping, trekking and working with the local village community. The students will get involved with projects focussed on pre-school education, healthcare and housing. This could be hands-on tasks, such as building community kitchens, boundary fences, libraries and rain collection points or taking on teaching support roles. They will also work with local guides and rangers in the Mlawula Nature Reserve on tasks to help improve the park’s trails and recycling facilities, all while learning about this incredible wildlife and ecosystem that they are protecting. The area is home to a wide variety of endangered species and a vital breeding area for some of the world's most threatened bird species.
