Laura Dominey Recovery Fund

In July of this year, a guy was on a motorcycle when he lost control laying it down going 70mph. Laura along with her stepdaughter, Sophia, and husband were on the side of the road when the motorcycle came right at Laura's legs on impact. Sophia suffered a broken ankle and is currently being cared for by her aunt.

Currently Laura is still in a wheelchair and cannot walk. She will be able to start putting some weight on her legs in mid- October. She will continue to remain in a wheelchair for another 3-6 months while she goes thru rehab to walk again.

Since the accident and due to other complications, she is living with a friend, where she is now a sole provider for her 14 year old son, William. It will be months before she can go back to her job working in home healthcare and currently has no health insurance to cover her medical expenses which are mounting up north of 350K.

This fund raiser is to help ease some of her burdens. It will be used for the daily needs for her and her son, monthly medical expenses, which include doctor visits and medication. It will also be used for some monthly reoccurring items such her storage and cell phone.

We are also looking for a new career where  isn't on her feet. Someone was nice enough to donate a computer to her. So while she is healing she will be learning and taking some course while she goes to rehab. She is being very proactive in her healing and making a way for her new life.
