In support and memory of David Kojo

Laura and Ronnie prepared and were ready to meet their beautiful boy. His room was in order, clothes were washed and in their place. The birthing pool was in place in their bedroom with everything their midwife would need.  Choosing to do a natural home birth they were so excited to go to their check up appointment Tuesday afternoon, Jan 9th. Laura was so ready because she was four days over her due date. They never thought when they met with their midwife that they would hear her say “there is NO heartbeat”. Laura went to the hospital and again the same news, “No heartbeat” to say this was devastating is an understatement. I have never known anyone who has yearned for motherhood like my precious sister Laura. Last night as we sat with Laura and Ronnie with all the “why questions” running through our mind she stated “all I know is what I learned when dad died in grief share, the secret things belong to Lord, sometimes God doesn’t always allow us to understand because we can’t.” This is from Deuteronomy 29:29. I sat there in awe of the beautiful and incredible faith my sister, a mother who endured 12.5 hrs of labor to birth a child that was already gone. It was heartbreaking! This is just a testament of the faith that Laura and Ronnie walk in and believe that the Lord will honor his promise of giving them a child. All glory and honor is given to the Lord. The nurses and doctors that cared for Laura were incredible and were so sensitive and caring towards them.
Laura and Ronnie were able to hold sweet David and family came and we prayed over this child pleading with God for a miracle. Just as Jesus called Lazarus forth so do we have that authority and this is what we have been believing. We praise God for His love and tender mercy through this whole situation. Laura and Ronnie have received an outpouring of love and so many have been contending on their behalf in prayer.
So many have asked what they can do or where to send flowers; we are asking for monetary contributions to go towards these expenses in lieu of flowers or other gifts. In choosing a natural home birth, they were not completely prepared for the immense cost of delivery at the hospital and funeral costs.
We are asking for your prayers or anything you would be willing to donate to go towards medical expenses and funeral costs.
We love You all and ask that you share this link. Thank you for your prayers and anything you feel led to give.
