Help Launch the First Amateur Rocket into Orbit

Project Hyperion: Help Launch the first Amateur Rocket into orbit.

So far, very few private companies have launched a rocket into orbit, specifically SpaceX and RocketLab. We are aware that their program requires very large sums of money to launch a small satellite, going up in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. We are attempting to bring that down to $15,000 per satellite.

A project manned only by High school and College students, we attempt to lower the cost of putting a nano satellite or cube sat into orbit.

Our prototype rocket will be capable of  launching 3 cube sats into low earth orbit, where the satellites will orbit the Earth for 5-10 years before de-orbiting. The rocket will be powered by methane and liquid oxygen, and will consist of two separate stages and 4 solid motor boosters

The funds raised will be used to build the prototype, Hyperion, and launch it from the Mohave Desert. If successful, we seek to start a small-sat startup, to compete with Rocket Lab, that requires only a fraction of the price to launch a satellite.

Help launch the future of cheap and reliable satellite launching!
