Help Autistic Girls Network support autistic girls

Donation protected
We are Autistic Girls Network, a new charity which supports families of autistic girls and campaigns to raise awareness of autism in girls with health, social care and education professionals.

Our Facebook group with 8,500 members, supports autistic girls and women and their extended families, while educating professionals. 4 times as many boys are diagnosed autistic as girls but this is not an accurate picture and frequently girls are diagnosed later, missed or misdiagnosed for many reasons. Late or misdiagnosis causes mental health problems and too many girls feel too anxious to attend school as a result.

Our mission is two-fold. To campaign for better recognition and diagnosis of autistic girls and to support them to find their identity and feel understood. Achieving our fundraising goal would allow us to cover start up and initial running costs and enable us to kick off our first project which will be to establish autistic girls network groups, providing local opportunities to meet and spend time with other girls.

We already support our group members and the 21,000 followers of our social media accounts but we know there are many more who need our help and in order to make a difference face to face and campaign for real change, we need to start fundraising.

We are excited to get started and would love to achieve our goal by the spring, with your help we can make a big difference.
