Latvian National Lacrosse Team

With your help the Latvian National team is heading to Israel for the 2018 FIL Men's Lacrosse World Championships! Latvia will compete alongside 47 other nations over ten days from July 12th - 21st, hoping to best their 19th place finish in the 2014 games. The team has been putting in the work , training hard through the cold Latvian winters, and traveling throughout the summers to compete against some of Europe's best. Latvia competed in the 2016 European Lacrosse Championship, finishing 9th after losing by 3 in a hard fought battle against the English, who went on to win the tournament. The team has played in the Berlin Open, winning gold in 2016 and silver in 2017, and even hosted the Ventspils Open on Latvian soil in 2017. Not to mention the countless practices in between.

Latvia Lacrosse is hoping to keep the success going this summer in Israel, and surely the players on the field will continue to do all they can to achieve their goals. However, off the field these players will need your help. There will be travel costs, accommodation costs, the cost of equipping the team. The purpose of this gofundme page is to lesson the financial barriers facing the Latvian Lacrosse team on their road to Israel, much of which is currently covered by the players themselves. Every donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated by the Latvian team, their fans, and the nation, represented by the 23 young men looking to compete against the World's best in the sport of lacrosse.
