<div>Latitude 49 is thirteen years old. You know what that means? Time to enter our angsty teenage years!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Will that mean:
</div>
<div>a)	Tim at first ironically and then increasingly unironically analysing the harmonic structure of Céline Dion’s rendition of “All by Myself?”
</div>
<div>b)	Andy Hall finding solace only in plants, shunning human relationship, because plants provide comforting shade in their quest for the sun, unlike humans who yearn to keep the sun and the shade for themselves?
</div>
<div>c)	Hudson and Jani biking away their feelings, regardless of how much ice is thrown in their path? Or
</div>
<div>d)	New collaborations from some of the most exciting compositional voices on the continent?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you answered “D,” you were correct, although, if we are being honest, the other three answers were also correct.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are fundraising in order to help our artistic goals become realities. Much like our saxophonist Andy Hall, we have a lot of things cooking.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The most exciting project on the horizon is a long gestating album featuring the music of KEVIN DAY called Tidal Forces. Kevin is one of the most enticing active musicians and is fresh off of a major commission from Cincinnati Opera. We are thrilled to be able to work with Kevin in such an intense way. Fund received through this fundraiser will allow us to record, mix, master, and produce the album.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Other exciting projects we have this season include:
</div>
<div>Educational partnerships with universities in Alberta and Texas,
</div>
<div>Performances and educational work at Calgary’s Sound Atlas Festival, and
</div>
<div>Commissioning and collaborating with composers to help bring their artistic visions to life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need your help bring these projects to fruition. Your tax-deductible gift will enable us to continue to fulfill our mission of commissioning, performing, and recording contemporary music.
