TLDR; Naomi Prell, a Trans Latinx woman attending UCLA, and her family are at risk of homelessness due to her grandma passing away unexpectedly. They are in desperate need of funds to afford house mortgage and possible malpractice lawyer
Guadalupe Garcia, Naomi's grandmother, was a strong beneficial caregiver who supported Naomi and her family financially and emotionally during the roughest points of their life, even being Naomi’s number one advocate for her transitioning. Guadalupe was sadly taken away from us this past week in St. Jude's hospital after being overdosed and given medication that she did not consent to by the doctor on duty. Now, Naomi's family are at risk of homelessness because they have to buyback the their grandmother’s house.
Currently, Naomi's family is looking for a malpractice lawyer to get justice for Guadalupe, however, they mostly need funds to be able to buy back the house they are currently residing in.
Naomi lives in a single parent household with her sister and her mom. Even though her mother has a job, they still cannot afford the home and are in great need of help.
Naomi is not one to ask for help which is why I am creating this for her. She is my bestest friend and has been through so much this past year, it is absolutely unfair for her to go through so much by herself. Please if you can, donate as this is an emergency. This loss was so sudden, unexpected, and unplanned for her and her family, and they will be grateful for any help they can get
