Travel for Paul Martin's endof life

I never thought I would make one of these but times have proven me wrong. Sometime during Hurricane Irma or the following days, my father Paul Martin suffered a major ischemic stroke. The bleed was severe, and he has already undergone surgery and is in a medically induced coma. The nurses I have spoken with are unable to give me a prognosis, as that is not their domain. The doctors have been very busy with hurricane related injuries. What I have been given is that he is in very critical condition and what faculties, if any, he will retain after his coma is lifted are completely anyone's guess.

I am not in a position to take a trip to visit him right now but from a familial standpoint I am next of kin to make medical decisions and it would also be nice to spend some moments with my father should they be his last. I do not like to ask for money in any way, shape, or form, but anything that one might be able to do to offset my transit costs and lodging would be a godsend, in case I never get a chance. I ask only because I am have no other choice.

The nurses have been even-keeled about telling me the status but it does not sound good, and with all honesty he may not make it, or if he does, he will be permanently disabled. I cannot assure you your funds will pay his bills; I will find another way to bear that burden. I would just like to see the man who raised me one more time and handle any legal matters that must be seen to before it is too late. 

This very well be my last chance. Attached is a photo of my father many years ago, with me, and my deceased mother. It is possible I will be the only one still alive in that ancient photo soon, so I beseech your help, even if it's just a dollar.
