Larry Ubl Road to Recovery

My name is Jacob Ubl and Larry Ubl is my Dad.  He is a 46 year old husband to Annette, my mom, and father to me and my two sisters, Kelsey and Vanessa. He is a logger/processor operator for C & C logging. On 10/8/2018 he suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke and was rushed into emergency brain surgery to have part of his skull removed to relieve cranial pressure and to remove a clot in his brain. After surgery, his Neurosurgeon was unsure of his prognosis and we were left with so many unknowns since Monday night. The last few days Larry has been fighting for his life, under sedation and on a ventilator. In the afternoon on 10/10/2018, Larry was taken off sedation and he was able to breath on his own. After a couple hours he was determined to sit up and talk to all of his family and friends that were at the hospital. He even attempted to stand on his own when his nurse was helping him sit up in his bed. Although this is all great news, Larry has a long road to recovery. He still has little function on the left side of his body and will never regain total function of his left side per his neurologist, he will need a prosthetic or his own skull placed,  and will possibly be in the hospital/rehab for months per his neurologist. Of course there will be hospital bills to come as well as expenses that my mom will need help with.  His recovery will be one step at a time but it seems that the future is looking like physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehab center, home health services, medications, etc. We have already felt so much love and support from friends and family and that is all much appreciated.  I am setting up this Go Fund Me Campaign to help my parents financially through this event.
