My friend, Larry Swearingen, was diagnosed with Stage IV liver cancer in March 2020. Almost one year into his battle he really could use our help.  Several people have suggested to him a Go Fund Me. He was very opposed to this stating "I always pay my own bills!" However, he is  now at the point of depleting his savings. He has been selling some of his processions to pay for the expensive co-pays and the 2021 deductible. He finally agreed to allow me to set up this Go Fund Me for him. <br />To date Larry has had 12 rounds of IV chemotherapy. Half way through he became sick with pneumonia. He has had several scans to see the effectiveness of treatment. He's suffered several unpleasant side effects of his treatment. Currently, he has difficulty with his hands and feet. He described it to me as feeling like he has "hot coals" on his hands and feet all the time. He takes morphine for the pain. <br />    Fighting cancer is a difficult and stressful battle. It certainly has been for Larry and his wife, Lynne.  Not too long ago he had yet another battle with his insurance company approving the oral chemotherapy drugs he needs. It took one month to get approved! The copay is $600 for a one month supply. Fighting  this horiffic disease is a difficult battle. Worrying about affording your medication shouldn't be part of it.<br />
