Hi, my name is Ran Rayos & I am knocking on your hearts on behalf of my brother (from my mom's 2nd marriage) who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 gastro intestinal cancer.

It all happened just a couple of months ago when he was taken to the hospital due to unbearable pain on his stomach plus the fact that he was unable to poop for more than 2 weeks.

After conducting some tests, they found out that he had a tumour which was blocking his stomach and so they scheduled to have surgery to remove the tumour.

After surgery, they sent the removed tumour for biopsy.

The results came back as Stage 3 cancer of the bowel. The doctor then recommended for him to undergo chemotherapy every fortnight for 6 months. He is now on the 2nd session of chemotheraphy.

He is also on a cocktail of oral medications to augment chemotheraphy, with one of the tablets costing more that Php 500 or AUD 14.

He also had to be transported by a private vehicle from his home in Naic, Cavite to the hospital in Quezon City. The trip takes more than 2 hours each way as he is too weak to travel by Public Transport.

The cost of chemo via Intravenous means and oral medication comes up to thousands of Pesos each week and although charity contributes a little, there is still so much that needs to be covered. He also needs to get the right supplements and food to make him stronger so he can stand the rigours of chemotheraphy.

I am imploring for your empathy & compassion to help my brother no matter how little. I believe a little multiplied by many will make a huge impact if joined together and hopefully, with your help and prayers, he will successfully beat what could be a killer illness after the 6-month long sessions.
