LaRon Washington Jr. Memorial Fund
It is with a sad heart that I share with you the sudden and unexpected passing of LaRon Washington, Jr, 22 of Sewell, NJ. It was in the early hours of Friday, May 26, 2017 that LaRon was struck and killed by 2 cars on Route 55 in Maurice River Twp. It has been reported that he was pulled over to the right shoulder near milepost 20.8 and after exiting his vehicle he was first struck by a vehicle which knocked him to the ground and then struck again by a second vehicle. While both vehicles were stopped at the scene, our beloved LaRon was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
Although we know that GOD has a reason for everything, this is particularly difficult to understand and to accept at this time. None of us expect to bury our children especially before they have had the opportunity to experience the wonders of life. But be assured that nothing will separate LaRon from the love of his mother,Judy; sister, Jacqualyn and his many friends and family.
Being the consummate example of compassion, duty and responsibility, LaRon had become the sole caregiver to his mother, Judy who had become disabled over the years while also acting as a surrogate father to his younger sister, Jacqualyn. As you can imagine, his loss will reverberate and be felt at an even deeper and more practical level as they try to move past this tragic, single event which has forever changed the course of their lives.
So, I implore you to exercise your heart of compassion and Christian love to help us to provide a proper homegoing celebration for LaRon, Jr. while also to try to fill some of the financial void that his loss has no doubtedly created. But I refuse to believe that GOD has not already made provision for even what seems to us an unexpected and unfair catastrophe.
Please make a donation as GOD directs you but the sooner we can begin to meet this goal, the sooner this family can move forward with being able to make arrangements. Although GOD lives outside of time, we do not and we are up against a time clock of when LaRon Jr's body will be released (no sooner than Tuesday, May 30, 2017).
