Lara's Surgery & Recovery Fund

My name is Lara, I'm a 24 year old indigenous trans woman who just got a date for genital reconstruction surgery (eeek)!
It's something I've been waiting for for over three years and I couldn't be happier. The only negative aspect, if you can call it that, is that it's happening sooner than I expected. I expected a date in January, but it's ended up being in November (again eeek)!
Because the surgery is so major, I need to travel with someone. Thankfully, my mom has volunteered herself. I work as an actor, bartender, and a barista -- jobs that require lots of physical movement and standing. The surgery can take between 6 weeks and four months to recover from.
I am raising money to help fund uninsured travel costs, to help pay my rent, and to alleviate the financial burden of caretaking my mom will undergo during my recovery while I am unable to work.
