Hi, my name is La-Rae Majeed, and that handsome man by my side is my husband Na’im Majeed,Sr. We have 3 beautiful children and have been married for 21 years but have been together since high school 26 years total. I could NOT do this without him and our children. They are my strength! I’m so thankful and blessed! Our first cancer battle was in 2009, I beat Stage IIB Cervical Cancer. I was cancer free as of January 4, 2010!! All Praises to the Most High!! Unfortunately, that monster has returned to try to take me out. On January 4, 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Cervical Cancer. Chemotherapy started the next day and it’s indefinite. I’m still on chemo. My Oncologist says that he can only “keep me comfortable”, there’s not anything else that he can do. It’s a good thing that we strongly believe in The Most High! Through Him all things are possible. I’m dealing with a lot of medical issues stemming from my first bought of cancer. I’ve always called them my little presents that cancer left me: peripheral neuropathy in my left leg, lymphedema in my left leg, degenerative disc disease in my lower back, neurocardiogenic syncope. I have been in chronic pain since 2010. Nonstop pain. All day,all night, every day. My medications as you can guess are very expensive. Morphine and Oxycodone are supposed to take my pain away, and they do, for about an hour at a time. We are in need of help with our bills and my medications and my many doctor appointments. We are playing catch up from January 2017. The diagnosis sent our family into a tail spin. As you can imagine, our lives were turned upside-down. Whatever you are able to bless us with is very much appreciated. We’re private people that only asks for help when we really need it. This is one of those times.
