Laos Volunteer Trip

WHO: We are two 16 year old students from Gympie who have an opportunity to travel to Laos with a Birth Education Team who are working in partnership with Red Cross.

WHAT: We are to carry out work for the Not For Profit - Days For Girls Australia which is an organisation that provides washable cloth sanitary packs for young girls and woman in developing countries. We will be travelling to the villages outside Luang Prabang with this group providing education on menstrual health and donating post-partum packs to health care workers.
Indiana is also a UNICEF Young Ambassador for UNICEF Australia and has organized to meet up with UNICEF Laos.

WHY: We are asking for some sponsorship to help fund this trip of a lifetime. The cost to travel over to Laos is more than Katja and I will be able to save before January. $4000 covers return flights and insurances and $2000 covers travel within Laos, food and accommodation for three weeks for the both of us. Any left over will be donated to DFG and the Birthwork initiative, which is tax refundable.
We hope through philanthropy or sponsorship we are able to cover the cost of return flights and travel for the both of us.

WHEN: We plan to travel in the first three weeks of January 2019
