Lao Wang (老王 - Elder Wang)
For the last 22 years, most everyone met dad through the tiny restaurant off of Federal Blvd. His skills in the kitchen is unparalleled and his shift has finally came to an end. Dad passed away on the morning of August 25, and we lost a great father that worked tirelessly to support the family in the last 45 years.
Ever the consummate entrepreneur, he also traveled the globe in his earlier years. He's lived in China, Taiwan, Denmark, Amsterdam, Bolivia, and of course, Colorado. I remember him owning an aquarium store, breeding show dogs (he loved dogs!), owning a video rental store, and creating hand made furniture. His final venture resulted in one of Denver’s most famous hole-in-the-wall restaurants: Lao Wang Noodle House.
He may be gone, but his legacy will live on. While we have plans to continue the restaurant and make some changes, our family needs support to keep the lights on and help supplement existing medical and mortuary costs. We thank you for your contributions in this difficult time. - Danny, Mom, and Emily
