Lanny Cat's Urgent Ear Surgery

Lanny's Plight.....
Poor Lanny cat, who is in our care has come to us with a serious ear issue that now needs surgery to correct. Lanny came to us as a stray though we strongly believe due to his nature that he was once a domestic cat that has been discarded, probably due to his health issue. We have included some graphic images of this poor cats ear so please be prepared for that.
Lanny's ear has been badly infected and has been allowed to fester for some time before coming to us, this has essentially destroyed his ears, they are continually sore and bleed a lot. Unfortunately we have exhausted all medicine based treatments and now have to pursue surgery as the only option left to save this lovely man. It gets even worse as the infection had spread through both ears and though we are managing the second ear for now it will also need the surgery.
Lanny will now need both ears removing, right down through the ear canal and including the middle ear. This will leave him completely deaf BUT will at least allow him quality of life and the ability to be re-homed to his forever home once recovered. He can only have one ear treated at a time, the worst one first then the second a month later, so this will be a long process for him but ultimately worth it.
These ear surgeries cost a staggering £1000 each! We are a charity and although we do our best we struggle with large vet bills like this on top of the day to day running costs of the rescue. We strive to do the best for all the animals in our care to give them the life they deserve and Lanny is no exception. This poor cat has suffered badly through neglect and now needs life changing surgery to live so can we please appeal to your generous nature and love of animals to help pay for this poor cats chance for a better life.
